The tandem of Jake Cuenca and Lovi Poe are back on the big screen not as lovers, but rivals for the affection of Joem Bascon.
‘LIHIS’ is based on the screenplay of Ricky Lee under the direction of Joel Lamangan. It is the premiere director’s entry for the Sineng Pambansa 2013 Director’s Showcase. The movie includes steamy scenes of Jake and Joem. It is quite similar with the popular gay-themed Hollywood flick ‘Brokeback Mountain’ with military guys this time.
Also included in the cast are the mother-daughter tandem of Gloria Diaz and Isabelle Daza.
Paulo Avelino and Lovi Poe reunites with ‘Aswang’ director Jerrold Tarog for the upcoming Cinemalaya 2013 entry ‘Sana Dati’. Also included in the cast are TJ Trinidad and Benjamin Alves. It is the final part of the camera trilogy Confessional (2007), Mangatyanan (2009).
The lead stars of ‘The Bride and the Lover’ are certified recording artists. It is no surprised that Regal Films tapped Jennylyn Mercado and Lovi Poe to record their own rendition of the classic OPM hit ‘Even If’. It was popularized by Lea Salonga in the late 90’s and up to this day, brokenhearted romantics still cling to this song.
